Meeting Minutes of Feb. 3, 2007
Submitted by brewerbear on Fri, 2007-02-23 22:07.Brewer Exes meet on Feb 3rd at the Point and 11 members were present. Gary Rains volunteered to be our Historian and Sharon will be helping him. Anyone with history of the Brewer High School needs to get with Gary.
Sharon Heizer talked about the selling of T-shirts we can get them @ $4.00 and sell them for $10. We discuss what to put on them. (1) Brewer Est. 1952, (2) Brewer Bears with a bear on it. We can also make the for Plus sizes for an extra charge. Talked about looking into shirts q/3/4 sleeves also Kelly Barrett will make one up for us to look at.
Steve w/class of 90 will be working on this project with Sharon. Joe Bailey priced for jackets and it would be $75, with $40 for the letter, but than it was also talked about we would have to get the ok with the school because of UIL rules.
Raymond talked about the site and asked us to please send in any ideals, subject to discuss.Please help with ideals and suggestions.
Rita Owens was telling us that if we can come up with people to help out at different places we can make alot of money. She will be checking into these different places. Susan L, will be helping her,
Kaye Ervin talked about the scholarships and how this was going and who reads them and what the essays were and how we come up with the topics.
It was bought up that we need to honor an Exe every year for something that they have done for the community or something special. This year we all agreed to honor the young man who died in Afghanistan that went to school at Brewer. William Brown ( we will need to make sure of his name, talk with Charlesa). This will be given at the Homecoming game.
Maxine told us that we will be apart of the Ribbon cutting ceremony in August for the New High School. the school color will be the same, not as rumors have it as they are changing.
Same colors BLUE and WHITE!!!
The football stadium will not be completed until the 2008 school year.
Also the school boundaries extend to the Parker County line (west).
The next meeting will be March 10th at 2pm at the Point.

The scholarship is in honor of Mike Jenkins and Joey Ennis. Two scholarships for $500.00 will be given. We would like to raise enough money to give two $1000.00 scholarships so if you would like to make a donation it would be appreciated.
